In states like Bihar, there is one judge for every 100,000 people.
Digitisation and automation that reduce cost and speed up judicial processes.
Moving beyond singular chat interfaces toward agentic frameworks built for each case.
A data-driven, citizen-centric approach to every stage of the process.
These four words are the whole mission, and each carries a specific meaning for how we build.
Access means every citizen should be able to reach the legal and administrative services they are entitled to. Filing a complaint, seeking a remedy, or navigating a regulatory process in India has traditionally required intermediaries who hold the specialised knowledge to move a case forward. We build automation that puts that knowledge directly in the hands of the citizen, so reaching a service depends only on need.
Efficiency means agentic systems built on the precise rules that govern a specific filing or judicial process, so the work is completed correctly the first time. Every process we automate is grounded in the actual procedural requirements involved: the right forms, the right sequence, the right documentation. That precision lets a citizen move through a system as quickly and reliably as a specialist would.
Information means building AI literacy alongside everything we build. We conduct workshops nationwide to discuss the building blocks of this technology. The same clarity extends to LearnWithLacuna, a free AI critical-thinking training for professionals, students and all humans engaging with large language model based tools.
Democracy is the outcome of the first three. A citizen who can access a service, complete it efficiently, and understand the process throughout holds real agency over the institutions meant to serve them, from courts to grievance mechanisms to administrative bodies. Strengthening that agency, citizen by citizen, is how we understand our role in India's democracy.
Whether you're an organization or university looking to bring AI literacy training to your team, a builder who wants to collaborate on a project, someone who believes in this mission and wants to get involved, or a funder interested in supporting the work, we'd like to hear from you.
