What we collect on this website, why, and the rights you have over it.

1. Overview

This policy explains how Lev-Tech ("Lev-Tech", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit lev-tech.in (this website). It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable rules under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers only lev-tech.in. It does not cover:

  • learnwithlacuna.com, a separate product with its own privacy policy, which you should review independently before using it.
  • Any third-party site you reach by following a link from this website.

3. Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run this website. We collect:

  • Contact form submissions. If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, the reason you select, and whatever message you write. This is submitted only when you choose to fill in and send the form.
  • Basic technical data via our hosting and security providers. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not access or use these logs for marketing or profiling.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioural tracking of any kind on this website, and we do not collect any data beyond what is listed above.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to messages sent through the Contact form.
  • To keep the website secure and functioning correctly (technical logs).
  • To meet legal obligations, if any arise.

We do not use your information for advertising, do not build profiles from it, and do not use it to make any automated decision that affects you.

5. Third parties we share information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make this website work:

  • Web3Forms, which processes and delivers Contact form submissions to our inbox. When you submit the form, its contents are sent to Web3Forms and then forwarded to us by email. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and provides security infrastructure, and by the nature of that service, handles technical request data described in Section 3.
  • Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry), which serves the web fonts used on this site. Loading a font stylesheet from Fontshare's servers exposes your IP address to them in the normal course of a browser making that request; no personal data beyond that is shared for this purpose.

We do not share your information with any other third party, and we do not permit these providers to use your data for their own purposes beyond delivering the service to us.

6. Data retention

Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for our own records, after which we delete them. Technical logs held by our hosting provider are retained on Cloudflare's standard security-log retention schedule, not indefinitely.

7. Where your data is stored

Data submitted through this website may be processed and stored on servers located outside India, as a consequence of using Cloudflare and Web3Forms as service providers. We choose providers that maintain reasonable security practices, but if this matters to your decision to contact us, you're welcome to email us directly instead (see Section 9 of our Terms & Conditions for our direct contact).

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a person whose data we process ("Data Principal"), you have the right to:

  • Ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and to access it.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to erase personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, with the same ease with which you gave it.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our grievance officer using the details in Section 12.

9. Cookies and tracking

This website does not currently set any cookies, and does not use analytics or tracking technologies. See our Cookie Policy for full details, including what happens if that changes in the future.

10. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
